CSR Hub NRW is Collaborating with Regional Start-Ups to Transform the Value Chain

This August 1st in Cologne, the CSR Hub NRW will deliver a workshop on sustainable value chains, hosted at the premises of the successful start-up FOND OF BAGS. Together with other start-ups from the region, we will discuss how to future-proof supply and value chains according to the demands of the future.

For over a year, FOND OF BAGS has been an ambassador of the CSR Hub NRW – the CSCP’s competence centre for future-proof entrepreneurship funded by the government of North Rhine-Westphalia. The company that produces bags of all sizes and styles is well known for its extraordinary designs and commitment to sustainability. The workshop is geared to entrepreneurs who want to improve their value chain according to social and ecological demands.

Topics and themes of the workshop include an introduction to the “Hot Spot” methodology along all levels of the value chain and features interactive exercises that encourage participants to take a look at their value chain to identify potentials for improvement. We will also help start-ups identify if they’re already creating benefits in a social and ecological context along their value chain, so-called “Sweet Spots”.

During the workshop, we will use crowd-ideation as a means to overcome challenges companies face in the realm of sustainability. FOND OF BAGS will prepare a realistic case that will be presented to the participants to elicit and discuss possible solutions for the challenge at hand. This exchange will enable participants to take home lessons for their enterprise while sparking connections for potential collaborative innovations for future-proof value chains.
