Status of the Implementation of the Declaration of Participation – Interim Report of the Dialogue Forum for Reduction of Food Waste

Halfway through its cooperation, the Dialogue Forum can build upon more than 156 food waste reduction measures and, for the first time, offers data on food waste for the entire food retail sector in Germany. The agreed measures include price reductions for fruit and vegetables or products close to the best-before-date; optimisation of the process-/logistics-/ and cool-chain; or innovative demonstration projects on the valorisation of food waste streams. This interim report (in German) provides an overview of the project’s achievements and the relevant measures to reduce food waste that the members have agreed to implement within the framework of the Dialogue Forum. Dialogue Forum for Reduction of Food Waste in Wholesale and Retail is part of the German National Strategy to Reduce Food Waste.
