Tasks

The main task of the student assistant will be to support the team in a project that connects sustainability and developments in the field digitalisation. In this project, the CSCP analyses how digitalisation can be an enabler for sustainability, with a special focus on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The project identifies tools and mechanisms to integrate sustainability into business models, conducts projects with SMEs and provides trainings for companies. A particular thematic focus is the circular economy. The student assistant will support these tasks.

You will have the opportunity to work with SMEs in a very practical context, to gain experience in consulting projects with companies as well as in designing and facilitating workshops. You will do practical research on the intersection of sustainability and digitalization and support developing new concepts for the knowledge transfer to SMEs. Thus, you get the opportunity to share your ideas and contribute to a dynamic and multicultural team as well as grow personally and professionally together with your colleagues.

Competencies

  • Knowledge and/or experience with issues related to sustainability and ideally with a background in business administration, economics, industry or engineering. Specific knowledge of digitalisation and circular economy is a plus, although not required.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Ability to articulate clearly and concisely, very good German language skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills, willingness to collaborate with colleagues, openness to different national and cultural backgrounds.
  • Other Requirements: Good skills in basic computer use, including desktop research, MS Office-Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.

Language

The relevant working language in this project is German, so fluency in written and spoken German is required. The general working language of the CSCP is English, therefore fluency in written and spoken English is also required.
