The Collaborating Centre on Sustainable Consumption and Production (CSCP) gGmbH is offering a position as an Assistant to the Executive Director in our office in Wuppertal, Germany.

Starting Date: August 2021
Working time: up to 100%

The Collaborating Centre on Sustainable Consumption and Production (CSCP) gGmbH is an independent, non-profit “Think and Do Tank” committed to providing collaborative solutions for a good life for all.  The Centre was founded in 2005 by the United Nations Environmental Program (UNEP) and the Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment and Energy and is headquartered in Wuppertal, Germany. Your tasks will be:

You will support the Executive Director of the CSCP with a consistent management of appointments, travel and visitors, and will provide him with comprehensive organizational and administrative support in his management activities:

This includes in particular:

  • Handling of telephone and written correspondence
  • Comprehensive scheduling and process coordination for
    the Executive Director
  • Organisation, preparation and follow-up of meetings and partner events
  • Filing and digitalisation of documents
  • Data maintenance
  • Maintaining contacts with authorities, property management and financial institutions
  • Reception of clients, partners and guests
  • Travel management including travel expense accounting
  • General procurement

In addition, you will support the CSCP team in personnel matters. This includes in particular:

  • Reception and onboarding of new employees
  • Application management
  • Drawing up contracts
  • Drafting references

You have:

  • Completed training/degree in the commercial and/or organizational field.
  • Several years of relevant professional experience, ideally in international working environment.
  • Experience in the digitalisation of business processes.
  • You are an excellent organizer and keep a cool head even under time pressure and in hectic situations.
  • You show team spirit and you have a can-do attitude.
  • You have a high level of commitment, reliability and assertiveness.

Language:

As German and English are the working language of the CSCP, fluency in written and spoken German and English are necessary.

Renumeration

We apply the TV-L Salary system.
