Interested in Good Ideas? Collaborate with Innovative Companies at the R2Pi Startup Breakfast on 18 October in Berlin

What are the great new ideas, inventions and products in the area of circular economy?  Who are the award-winning startups and how can we collaborate to create a more sustainable future? If you want the answers to these and many more questions, join the Startup Breakfast in October.

The CSCP and its R2Pi project are bringing together startups in the circular economy with larger stakeholders from industry. Our goal is to create a collaboration space for the exchange of innovative ideas and platform for establishing potential partnerships to stimulate the sustainable handling of the world’s valuable resources.

On 18 October 2018, the six finalist startups from the Green Alley Award are invited to Berlin to present their business ideas. The winner will be chosen that evening.  See some of the past winners here.  That morning, representatives from larger companies will join us at our Startup Breakfast to engage with these creative startups to discuss their innovations and to possibly spark new ideas and collaborations for the future.

The Green Alley Award is Europe’s first prize for startups in the circular economy. It was created in 2014 by Landbell Group and has been run annually since. Since then, more partners have joined, among them the CSCP and its R2Pi project, an EU Horizon 2020 project on circular economy business models. Together, we celebrate startups working to advance the circular economy in Europe and promote groundbreaking value preservation solutions, recycling solutions, waste prevention in order to recover valuable resources and digital solutions to enable circular economy. Our mission: to turn the linear into a circular economy and transform the industry as we know it today.

The most convincing candidates are invited to the finals in Berlin with great networking and learning opportunities for all. In workshops, they meet European circular economy experts and startup mentors offering valuable advice as well as the opportunity to gain new business contacts. In the evening, all finalists present their business ideas in a live pitch to an international audience.

The jury, which includes the CSCP’s expert on green innovation and the circular economy, Alexis Figeac, will then select the winner of the Green Alley Award 2018. They will be rewarded with a cash prize of € 25,000 as well as the beautifully upcycled award trophy. A new asset this year: all startups applying for the Green Alley Award will also have the chance to win the Seedmatch Crowd Award, which includes the chance to start the perfect crowdfunding campaign.
