Join Us in Realizing Circular Economy Opportunities for the Logistics Sector – Workshop 10 Oct 2017 in Essen

We will be discussing new circular economy solutions in reverse logistics and innovative packaging. Companies like DPDHL will be part of our Open Innovation Workshop On Circular Economy. It was initiated by the “Innovation Platform on Logistics for Sustainable Lifestyles” of the ILoNa project.

With more electric cars and bikes on the streets in the years to come, there will be business opportunities in coordinating the reverse logistics of used batteries. Beyond finding ways to market the service to personal and commercial customers, packaging, safe transportation and legal requirements need to be considered when developing new logistic services.

Another challenge circular economy can solve is the packaging for delivered food. Innovative packaging which can be reused and recycled while maintaining temperature and food safety requirements is needed. A thorough understanding of interests and lifestyles of prospective customer groups is necessary in order to promote the packaging.

These are two examples of how the circular economy can be applied to logistics. These will be discussed during the workshop on the Circular Economy of the ILoNa project. For date and time and registration information scroll to the bottom.
