Changing the Workplace – How Startups Become Attractive Employers, Workshop on October 12th in Essen

The CSR Hub NRW addresses social, ecological and financial issues startups are facing. In October we will have a closer look at the importance of work culture and organisational development. In our workshop the CEO of Cologne based start-up HAFERVOLL will share his insights in the topic – and pose a challenge to the participants.

In its next workshop on 12 October the CSR Hub NRW addresses the challenges of the modern workplace every company has to deal with. Many employees nowadays prefer to distribute their working hours more flexibly over the week or work fewer hours. Also they’re looking for work that is meaningful, gives them room to be creative and has flat hierarchies. Good leadership also becomes an issue for company founders that would like to lead their team successfully without taking on the role of an oldschool boss. In addition to these topics, the interactive workshop will discuss questions like:

  • How can processes and structures be designed to unleash the innovative power and creativity of employees.
  • How can my company position itself attractively for the generation Y and Z?

As we believe that the digital transformation is at the heart of changes at the workplace the free workshop will take place at the premises of ruhr:HUB in Essen – the connecting agency for SMEs that are looking for expertise in the age of digitalisation (hub.ruhr). In addition, our project partner Business Angels Network Germany (BAND e.V.) will provide knowledge for successful financing and give deeper insights in what business angels are looking for in a start-up team.
