BOOM Holiday Camps: Request for Proposals for Camp Locations

Keen on participating in educating teenagers and young adults about green jobs in the future? The CSCP now invites proposals for suitable camp locations in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW)

“BOOM – Berufsorientierung und grüne Jobs mal anders” (career orientation and green jobs with a new perspective) are 5 day summer camps for teenagers and young adults. Participants in these camps explore future jobs in the fields of “daily consumption and product design”, “energy and mobility”, “building and housing” and “food and agriculture”.

To organise these orientation camps, there is a requirement for accommodation and catering for a group of approximately 50 people. The CSCP invites you to send in your proposals for camp locations in NRW from 2020 – 2022. To know more details about the specific requirements of the camp locations and camp dates, please download the tender (in German) here.

In the BOOM holiday camps, participants will experience societal trends and challenges, such as digitalization, changing consumption trends or new work and reflect on how these trends affect their own lifestyles and future work. Using different creative workshop formats, such as design-thinking, personas and role-play, the CSCP will facilitate a journey to the future, where the participants can explore sustainability aspects along the value chain and understand the interlinkages between sectors and professions.

Along the guiding principle “every job is green” the participants of the BOOM holiday camps will start to understand sustainability as a key aspect in every profession and as an opportunity in their own career pathways.

Project partners for this project are Provadis GmbH and Sportjugend Hessen e.V. The BOOM holiday camp project will run for four years and is funded by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety.
