SUSTAINABILITY IN THE MEDIA

Funded by the Ministry of the Environment and Conservation, Agriculture and Consumer Protection of the German State of North Rhine-Westphalia (MUNLV), the UNEP/Wuppertal Institute Collaborating Centre on Sustainable Consumption and Production (CSCP) conducted a study on sustainability issues in the mainstream media.  The study highlights recent developments, analyses good practice examples and identifies opportunities to integrate sustainable issues into different media formats. It focuses on television, press and the web.

Results of the study will be presented in a CSCP-workshop that will give space to media experts, scientists, civil society organisations and politicians in Wuppertal on the 3rd of December 2009.
