The workshop was held on 13th - 16th of April in Wuppertal, Germany. The aim of the training was to initiate universities and colleges in the issues and concepts of sustainable lifestyles and sustainable entrepreneurship. At REWE Group's Sustainability Forum held in Berlin on 19 April 2010 the new sustainability label "Pro Planet" was introduced by the retail and tourism company for its own brands. In order to receive the "Pro Planet" label, the product must go through a standardised five step process developed by the CSCP together with the Wuppertal Institute and triple innova. The methodology has been succesfully validated by TÜV Rheinland.

The United Nations Commission on Sustainable Development (CSD) discusses the implementation of Agenda 21 and the Johannesburg Plan of Implementation (JPOI). The 10-year framework of programmes (10YFP) on sustainable consumption and production patterns is one of five thematic issues to be reviewed from 3 - 14 May in 2010. The UNEP/Wuppertal Institute Collaborating Centre on Sustainable Consumption and Production (CSCP) will jointly with other projects partners present two side events.

The regional environment programme SWITCH-Asia, is aiming to promote the adoption of Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP) among Small and Medium sized Enterprises and consumer groups in Asia. The programme is in line with the EC Regional Strategy Paper for assistance to Asia (2007-2013).
