“What to think? What to show? What to say? Strategies to integrate sustainability topics in mainstream media” is the focus of a workshop on 7th October in Cologne.

The workshop presents and discusses strategies how to increase sustainability topics into mainstream media. CSCP expert will present a research study policy makers can address media and an awareness raising module for journalist trainees. The training module can be used by journalist academies or media training institutes. The modules were developed in cooperation with the Grimme-Akademie, Marl. Besides these tools an interactive discussion aims to compile further strategies how awareness of journalists and content creators can in sustainability topics can increase to provide their audiences information and orientation on sustainable lifestyles.
The workshop will be an important steppingstone within an ongoing CSCP project on media and sustainability supported by the Ministry for Climate Protection, Environment, Agriculture, Nature Conservation and Consumer Protection of the German State of North Rhine-Westphalia.
The workshop targets media producers, media educators, journalism schools, media training institutes or organisations targeting media on the topic of sustainability.
