This one-day workshop seeks to engage policy-makers, business and stakeholders on the topic of Sustainable Lifestyles.
There is a growing awareness that a kaleidoscope of different approaches is needed in order to reach and inspire decision-makers, stakeholders and the public to think about and adapt to more sustainable living. Creativity is key to visualising what a sustainable future means for our everyday lives, and the decisions and trade-offs that we will face.
This workshop is part of a series of workshops being held in 2011 with the aim to build a global network of stakeholders engaged on enabling sustainable lifestyles. Similar workshops have been held at the World Economic Forum, Davos January 2011; the World Business Council for Sustainable Development & European Environment Agency, Brussels, March 2011; and are planned for May 24/25 2011 in Germany as part of the SPREAD Sustainable Lifestyles 2050 European Social Platform project launch conference, The Future of Sustainable Lifestyles & Entrepreneurship. Similar events are also planned for Brazil and China in 2012.
