Prof. Dr. Klaus Töpfer opens the CSCP

The "UNEP/Wuppertal Institute Collaborating Centre on Sustainable Consumption and Production" (CSCP) started with an opening ceremony and a press conference on 25 November 2005. Prof. Dr. Klaus Töpfer, Executive Director of UNEP, and Prof. Dr. Peter Hennicke, President of the Wuppertal Institute, signed the Memorandum of Foundation.

Linking SCP to poverty alleviation

The integration of SCP into Poverty Reduction Strategy Papers will at the focus of a guidance document currently being under development by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the CSCP.

The paper will lay the basis for implementation pilot projects undertaken by UNEP. Read more
