Welcome to the CSCP

The Centre provides scientific support to activities undertaken by UNEP and other organisations in the field of SCP. This support includes the development, testing, implementation and monitoring of concrete projects, especially in developing countries, which enables these countries to leapfrog to sustainable consumption and production patterns using life cycle thinking and regional perspectives as guiding principles.

Award for Environmental Governance Standards Project

The project "Environmental Governance Standards for Development Financing Institutions" (EGS) has received honourable mention in the Developing Nation category of the 2008 "Associations Make A Better World" awards by the Washington D.C.-based American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and the Center for Association Leadership. The "Associations Make A Better World" awards competition recognises outstanding association programmes, projects and activities that make a significant contribution to societies and economies worldwide. The 2008 award will be given at the ASAE & the Center's Annual Meeting in San Diego, California on August 16-19, 2008.
