The Centre provides scientific support to activities undertaken by UNEP and other organisations in the field of SCP. This support includes the development, testing, implementation and monitoring of concrete projects, especially in developing countries, which enables these countries to leapfrog to sustainable consumption and production patterns using life cycle thinking and regional perspectives as guiding principles.

1st Wuppertal Tauschmob (Exchange-mob) co-organised by CSCP
On Saturday 11 February 2012, the CSCP is co-organising the 1st Wuppertal Tauschmob (Exchangemob) - a sustainable swapping event - at the Kirchplatz in Wuppertal-Elberfeld, in cooperation with the online exchange platform Netcycler and the sustainability portal Faktor N. Read more

The CSCP is a partner at the CleanTech Media Award and is proud to announce that the call for applicants is currently open. The German Environmental Clean Tech Media Award 2012 is celebrating its fifth Anniversary of recognizing projects that reflect the solutions with which responsible, environmental technologies meet the demands for leading sustainable lifestyles. (HOW) CAN SOCIAL MEDIA SUPPORT SUSTAINABLE WAYS OF LIVING
The CSCP is going to host an expert round and a workshop on “(How) can social media support sustainable ways of living?” on 17 February 2012 at the upcoming Social Media Week in Hamburg, Germany. Reflecting on the global impact of social media and its role as a catalyst in driving cultural, political, economic and social change, the Social Media Week’s in February 2012 will focus on Empowering Change through Collaboration.
