Successful conference in Ljubljana, Slovenia on 27-28 September

On September 27 to 29, 2007, the Ministry of the Environment and Spatial Planning of the Republic of Slovenia, the European Environmental Agency (EEA) and the UNEP/Wuppertal Institute Collaborating Centre on Sustainable Consumption and Production (CSCP) will host a conference in Ljubljana, Slovenia on Sustainable Consumption and Production in Europe.

Together with the UNEP/UNESCO youthXchange the CSCP supports the international youth camp “Ice – Climate – Education” in Spitzbergen organised by the polar expert Arved Fuchs.

The CSCP supports the "One Planet Business" initiative which brings together business leaders, policy-makers, investors, consumer groups and other NGOs within a year long multi-stakeholder process to understand and help achieve system changes required to ensure sustainability of our market economies.

The CSCP together with the Wuppertal Institute and the German Society for Technical Cooperation (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit – GTZ) have jointly published a compendium of policy instruments for resource efficiency.
