The international conference "Creating Solutions for Sustainable Consumption and Production – An Expert Conference on the Marrakech Process" on 22 and 23 November, in Wuppertal, Germany has been widely received as a success.

The materials for the conference are now online available on the conference download page.

The conference was organised by the UNEP/Wuppertal Institute Collaborating Centre on Sustainable Consumption and Production (CSCP), in co-operation with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and in partnership with the Club of Rome and the Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and the Pacific (ADFIAP)..

The aim of the expert conference was to take stock of the ongoing initiatives worldwide to develop and promote a ten-year framework of programmes on sustainable consumption and production (SCP), to identify areas where more research and support is needed, as well as encourage collaboration with new partners. The conference in particular looked at progress achieved through the Development Cooperation Dialogue and the Marrakech Task Forces, which have been initiated by national governments to develop and test policies of Sustainable Lifestyles, Sustainable Product Policy, Sustainable Procurement, Sustainable Building and Construction, Sustainable Tourism, Education for Sustainable Consumption and Production and Co-operation with Africa.

All files available for download can now be found on the conference download page.
