Successful conference in Ljubljana, Slovenia on 27-28 September

"Wuppertal 24h live" is an enormous city event, consisting of 150 individual events and activities in some 80 different locations across the city on September 14 and 15, 2007. The idea is to showcase local competencies and changes in the region as well as present a new perspective of the city of Wuppertal to its inhabitants.

On November 6, 2007 a Japanese-German policy dialogue conference will be held at the Japanese-German Centre, Berlin. Participants will explore opportunities to enhance resource efficiency in both two countries as well as opportunities to jointly promote global resource efficiency measures. On September 27 to 29, 2007, the Ministry of the Environment and Spatial Planning of the Republic of Slovenia, the European Environmental Agency (EEA) and the UNEP/Wuppertal Institute Collaborating Centre on Sustainable Consumption and Production (CSCP) will host a conference in Ljubljana, Slovenia on Sustainable Consumption and Production in Europe.

The CSCP did host a "Climate Café" for the Wuppertal-Ostersbaum quarter, in which the Centre is situated, on September 11, 2007. The event is part of the local responsibility initiatives implemented by the CSCP together with the community-organisation startpunkt and the local neighbourhood centre. It is organised under a one-month climate change campaign by the City of Wuppertal.
