ARTIST IN RESIDENCE

Are you an artist with an interest or experience working with sustainability issues? Would you like to create art, which depicts or promotes Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP) themes for presentation to interested audiences?

YOUR OPPORTUNITY

As our artist in residence you will benefit from the international and dynamic CSCP team as well as from our network of sustainability professionals and organisations. In addition, the CSCP location at the Wuppertal Huppertsbergfabrik offers unique opportunities to network with other artists working with a variety of mediums including paint, music and film production. During your stay at the CSCP you will receive a good insight into the field of sustainability with a particular focus on the area of sustainable consumption and production.

Examples for art projects of interest to the CSCP include photo layouts depicting sustainable lifestyles in German households, models/graphics exploring models of sustainable building and construction, theatre/dance projects presenting sustainability in Asian factory settings, movies/video clips on biodiversity, paintings on climate change and many more.

OUR EXPECTATIONS

Your artistic project should last approximately 3-6 months in which at least one day per week is spent at the CSCP. You work should be presented in a manner that promotes sustainable consumption and production in a motivating, positive and engaging light.

Owing to the international nature of both our work and workplace good English skills are mandatory at CSCP.

APPLICATION

We would welcome your questions or application which should include an idea sketch and your CV. Correspondence should be directed to gabriele.eigen@scp-centre.org.
